Funky Lounge

This, for some reason or another, has been one of those really philosophical weeks. I guess readyin Angels & Demons always puts me in one of those spiritual quandry moods.
The books portrays God as being someone you get to know by looking at life around you, rather than a book thats a few thousand years old. It also tries to bridge the gap between science and religion by proving through scientific process that the big bang was started by some sort of force (believe it or not the big bang theory was proposed by a catholic monk two years before hubble). That's what I'm into right now. The bible is a great source of inspiration and stories about the past and the work of God, Jesus and the church, but to quote the DaVinci Code, did not arrive by fax from heaven. I've decided that i need to figure things out for myself, rather than interperit as someone else did. I also cinsider the fact the the church banned forks in the 15th century as being unholy. So there's how things are sitting for me spiritually right now, i'm really appreciating more the little miracles that make up everyday life, and becoming more accepting of creationalism and the work of God. I find it hard to believe that everything around us was simply the result of us picking the right card from a deck of trillions.
On a little lighter note, today (and tomorow) some of the people in my class are painting the student lounge, which is basically a boot room in the sr.high wing that had a bench thing and some couches put it. We taped in a coool pattern on the one wall of weird squares and painted them with green, blue pink and orange paint. It really brightened things up and got rid of some of the smell caused by a bunch of stupid teens having food fights in there. tonight we finished painting the one wall and taped up the other wall with diamonds and stripes so that it's ready for when we get there at 10:00 tomorow. It'll be cool, and if we can get ahold of a carpet cleaner maybe we can get some of the smell out of the couches.
So letsee, tomorow morning i'm painting at the school, then in the afternoon i'm going to some people's house for supper, then sunday mom's side of the family is coming over for supper at our house, then on monday we're going to standard for dad's side's dinner. I LOVE THIS WEEKKEND!!
