I Hate Being Sick

Camping in drum was a lot of fun, we did about 6 geocaches, found the little church, went on the ferry, did the East Coulee School Museum, Atlas Coal Mine and then camped in Dorothy saturday night. I'm VERY happy about the old hall that we were able to stay in....we were taking pictures of one of the old churches in town when the huge windstorm hit; it went from calm to a twister in about 10 seconds flat :). We were both very grateful for the indoor outhouse built into the hall/schoolhouse; there was no power (unless you plug the extension cord sticking out of the wall into a generator) but it was still way better than being outside. There are 2 old churches in Dorothy, both were moved into the town in 1928 and both are currently being restored. My friends/relatives out there have been working tirelessly on it, including moving 3 huge truckloads of pigeon crap out of the Catholic church and numerous other cleanups out of both. This was the first trip out where i accually felt comfortable walking inside them! Much thanks for all the work Grandma Betty and Grandpa Ray!
On sunday we went to the hoodoos, checked out the suspension bridge in rosedale, got subway and headed to horseshoe canyon to eat it. After that we went home , picked up kristine's car, and checked out the new trailer! Its nice on the inside (i still don't like the door at the back) but the RV dealer screwed up and didn't put on an air conditioner! Apparently that's getting fixed, i'm just happy to finally get something that isn't going to fall apart. Anywhoo, after that se headed to standard for a church hot-dog roast.
My advil had been working pretty good up until that point (i had a little bit of a cold all weekend) but right after eating it hit hard. i drove from the farm we were at to my grandparents house (they're away) and called my parents to come get me...i was so dizzy i could hardly see strait. I was home sick both monday and yesterday, but decided to head to work today. we spent an hour this morning scraping weeds off the pavement at the scating rink , and the rest of our time today taking down a silt fence (SO BORING). we got a downpour in the afternoon, so we were able to leave work an hour early (YAY!). This weekend plans to be the maiden voyage for the new trailer; we're meeting some friends near Brooks to pick my sister up from enterperneurshep camp and the Eagle's Nest Ranch. So, life goes on, talk to ya later!
